"Vanitas"
"Vanitas" is a digital sculpture that explores the themes of mortality and the fleeting nature of life. The miniature is an allegory to the transience of life, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death.
The piece features a noble woman admiring herself in the mirror, with her face cut out to reveal a putrescent corpse emerging from within. The decaying figure reaches out, grasping the sides of the face, symbolizing the inescapable grasp of death.
"Vanitas" was crafted with a professional 3D laser printer and the copies are cast in high-quality gray resin (4 parts to assemble).
Each miniature comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
